Dear Church Family – past and present,
As you may already know, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of LEC this autumn. You are most welcome to join us for the weekend of October 9th - 11th!
We are looking forward to seeing some of you there and to celebrating God's work in the last 20 years of LEC together.
Nora, Ruth, Claire & Konni
Friday, Oct. 9th, 7 pm, Andreasgemeindehaus: A ceilidh to start off the weekend in a relaxed and fun atmosphere (these fun evenings of Scottish folk dancing have quite a tradition at LEC - if you think dancing isn’t for you, just ask someone who’s been to one to hear just how much fun it is!) - beverages only.
Saturday, Oct. 10th, 2-5 pm, Andreasgemeindehaus: Fun afternoon for children aged 3-12 (crafts, games, surprise guest, LEC birthday cake, etc.) - coffee, beverages, cake and biscuits served.
Saturday, Oct. 10th, 6:30-11 pm, Adventgemeindehaus: LEC Birthday Party (for adults) themed: "A Blast from the Past". This will be a formal evening with a catered buffet. The party will begin at 6:30 pm, dinner will be served at 7 pm followed by entertainment of all kinds aiming to end no later than 11 pm.
To cover the cost of the food and the venue, tickets for the evening are 30€ per person.
In order to plan the seating and the catering, we need to know how many people are coming, so please make your reservation soon. Tickets can only be bought in advance. To buy your tickets, transfer the amount to the church bank account and specify “anniversary” or just write an email.
We realize that the ticket price is quite steep and would like to stress the fact that money should not be an obstacle. We would really like everyone to be there, as it will be an uplifting evening of celebrating the Lord’s power at work in LEC during the last 20 years, and will also help us bond as a church family. If you know of someone who is hesitant to come for financial reasons, do consider sponsoring them or letting us know so we can sign them up without the bank transfer. The financial expenses for the evening do not have to be covered completely by the ticket sales - your presence is more important than your money. If you are from outside the European Union, contact the office and we will arrange for you to pay in cash on the evening.

Please also bring a photo of yourself for the guestbook.
If you would like to contribute to the program with some personal experiences within LEC (fun photo, short video clip, anecdote, skit ...) - please share! Email Nora at: email@example.com
*Even if you can’t come yourself, you are welcome to contribute photo or video material if we may use it during the evening's program.
*Please note, childcare is not provided. Therefore children from the age of 12 are welcome to attend (and breastfeeding infants). We will not have the capacity to entertain or even seat the younger children. Children from the ages of 3-12 are welcome at the childrens' party in the afternoon, so everyone will get a chance to celebrate the day.

As many of you have heard, we plan to employ a second pastor for the English language ministry from later on this autumn. Larry and Sinead Norman have found a flat to live in and will be moving here towards the end of September, but not arrive properly until after his graduation from seminary (FTH Giessen) in October.
We are seeking to fund this new post through the generosity of former members, and have recently sent out this brochure to all on our alumni database.
We encourage current members to continue giving to support the existing ministry, but to be praying for the fund-raising.
A paper explaining the need for an extra pastor is available from Martin on request.
